South beauty Tapasee may have established well herself in the south Indian industry, but originally she is a sikhni from Delhi. She is making her Bollywood debut with David Dhawan's upcoming film ' Chashme Baddoor'. The director famous for his comic flicks has coined a unique nickname for her as 'Sikhni from South'. Apparently, when David introduced Tapasee to Rishi Kapoor as 'Sikhni from South', Rishi got confused during the shoot in Goa. When Rishi asked Tapasee about this unusual name which is different from usual Sikh names, Tapasee said that her aunt kept her name. From then onwards, everyone on the sets call Tapasee as 'Sikhni from South'.
When asked about it to Tapasee, she laughingly said that both Rishi Kapoor and David Dhawan are Punjabis maybe that's why David Dhawan introduced her like this. But now it became a habit for him. She expressed that David Dhawan is a very sweet person and she had fun during the shoot for Chashme Baddoor. She said that it is the perfect launch for her.
Chashme Baddoor is the remake of the 1981 hit comic flick with the same name. It also stars Ali Zafar, Siddharth and Divyendu Sharma.
