Recently, there was a flood of reports claiming that the makers of Don franchise have roped in Deepika Padukone for the next instalment, replacing Priyanka Chopra , who was seen in Don and Don 2 opposite Shah Rukh Khan . However, producer Ritesh Sidhwani says that Deepika is not a part of the series. He said so at the success bash of his latest venture Fukrey Returns which released to rave reviews on Friday, 8th December and has been performing extremely well at the box office. "Deepika is not part of Don, Sidhwani said at the success party.

Talking about the next instalment of the Don film franchise, Sidhwani said, "We are working on that and very soon we will announce that also. Now we have produced comedy and next, from our side, will be '3 Storeys' which will be a completely different film releasing in February."

He further added, "Then we are coming up with ' Gold ' and Gully Boy so all these films are different in terms of genre and none of them are comedies, so I think people should follow what they believe in and the kind of stories they want to tell. If you try to do the same thing or emulate something which is not inherent, I don't think success will come your way.”

So neither Priyanka Chopra nor Deepika Padukone is in the cast of Don 3 . We will be waiting to know the actress who finally walks away with the plum project.
