Chitrangda Singh excited about turning producer with Soorma

Actress-turned-producer Chitrangda Singh is elated about turning producer with the forthcoming sports biopic, Soorma, which features Diljit Dosanjh and Taapsee Pannu in lead roles. Sharing the new release date of her maiden venture on Twitter, she wrote, "So happy to share #SOORMA releases 13th July 2018. my first as a producer, proud & thankful to have @sonypicsprodns @SnehaRajani join hands to bring a story of a man who fought back to win all he lost ..most of all his pride!! @Flicker_Singh @diljitdosanjh @taapsee #ShaadAli."

Directed by Shaad Ali, Soorma is based on the life of renowned hockey player and former Indian Hockey captain Sandeep Singh. Chitrangda is very excited to step into the shoes of a producer and explore this area of filmmaking.

Besides being seen as a producer, Chitrangda will also be seen in two distinct avatars in her forthcoming film Sahib Biwi Aur Gangster 3 and Bazaar.
