Chetan Bhagat's novel 'Revolution 2020' to get on reels

An IIT professional, Chetan Bhagat has an exceptional vision of creating fresh stories. Almost, his every novel attains the bestseller mark, which gradually draws in the Bollywood to adapt it on the silver screen. And yet again, Chetan teams up with Disney and UTV Motion Pictures for reeling his chart-buster novel, \"Revolution 2020\", to be directed by Rajkumar Gupta.

The foundation of Chetan\'s close alliance with the production house lies from the times of bringing up \'Kai Po Che\' on the celluloid, which is the adaptation of his novel, \"Three Mistakes Of My Life\". And after the sheer success of it, UTV has planned to film, his another novel \"Revolution 2020\". It revolves around the lives of three friends, Gopal, Raghav and Arti and is set against the backdrop of corruption, in the education sector.

Charged Chetan said that he can\'t await for the three characters to be cast and brought to life. To which, director Rajkumar asserted the time he read that novel, he was left mesmerized. Its story is quite simple yet heart-touching, of being young, being confused, being in love, getting corrupted. So he is looking forward to pen it down again as per the screen.

Even UTV\'s Managing Director, Siddharth Roy Kapur seemed overdelighted to get the budding film, under the wings of his banner. To which he exclaimed, the production house is excited to work as a catalyst in bringing Chetan and Rajkumar together. The novel rightly has the cinematic potential, as it has an incredibly well-graphed storyline and the issues it deals with are those that today\'s youth will instantly relate to. The film is expected to go on floor by mid-2014.

We just hope, like Chetan\'s prior novels, which did wonders when filmed, so will this venture do.
