    'Chennai Express' to hit the screens on August 9

    Now, Action-comic-caper \'Chennai Express\' will release on August 9 and not on August 8, as the filmmakers did not want it to release in the holy Ramadan\'s month.

    The touted action-comic-caper ' Chennai Express ' by Rohit Shetty was earlier slated to release on August 8. However, going by the latest reports, now the viewers can board ' Chennai Express ' from August 9 in stead of August 8.

    The reason for delaying the release of the flick by one day is that the filmmakers did not intend to release it during the auspicious Ramadan month. Prior to this, Shah Rukh Khan , who is playing lead in ' Chennai Express ' had a discussion with Ekta Kapoor , the producer of crime-saga ' Once Upon Ay Time In Mumbaai Dobaara! ' about shifting the release date of the film in order to avert the probable clash with ' Chennai Express ', as both the films were scheduled to release on the same day.

    ' Chennai Express ' stars Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone in lead roles. The trailer and songs of the film are already creating waves in the town.
