Anurag Kashyap\'s film \'Gangs Of Wasseypur\' has got \'A\' certificate by the Censor Board. This was as a result of non-compliance by the makers. The Censor Board had demanded the makers to show the notice \'Cigarette Smoking Is Injurious To Health\' in multiple languages. At the same time, they wanted the actor Manoj Bajpai to record the voice-over for the same.
The Censor Board also had a few other demands that they wanted the makers of \'Gangs Of Wasseypur\' to comply with. But the makers of the film refused to accept their demands. And hence the film has been given \'A\' certificate.
Initially the Censor Board had also objected to the infamous phrase from the film \'Teri Keh Ke Lunga\' but later it allowed the makers to use it. The filmmaker had also been asked by the Board to issue a disclaimer stating \'The film is 90 percent based on real life incidents but it\'s mixed with fictitious characters\'.
Anurag Kashyap\'s first film \'Black Friday\' had also faced some issues with the Censor Board.
