Many filmmakers as well as the audience criticise Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) for its firm inspection. But this present update might make you like them a bit. CBFC committee has granted UA certificate to Mom and has also passed it without any cut in visual as well as audio.
Mom is Sridevi’s 300th film and is cited to be her best film till date by the CBFC. As per the sources, CBFC chairperson Pankaj Nihlani was quoted saying, “Srideviji’s performance in Mom has the same impact as Nargisji in Mother India. They both define motherhood and the ingrained sacrifices that a mother makes for a child. I’d go as far as to say Mom is the contemporary Mother India. There will be not one dry eye in the theatres when the film opens.”
Based on a thriller plot, Mom is promising various layers to Sridevi’s character. On one aspect, she is soft and tender towards her daughter, while her other side is of a merciless mother. So far, two trailers have been released by the makers. With each trailer, the film has got even more intriguing.
