Karan Johar 's Dharma Productions has produced a wide range of films - from medium to big budgeted films and from romantic to action films. But their upcoming trilogy Brahmastra is going to be the biggest spectacle from the stable of Dharma Production. Featuring Amitabh Bachchan , Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt in lead roles, the mega-budgeted project is being helmed by Ayan Mukerji who has previously delivered popular films like Wake Up Sid and Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani . Talking about his ambitious project, Karan Johar says that if all goes well his banner will come up with a sequel to the film every two years.

"The shoot will start in February-March for the first part. Then hopefully, every two years, we will have a new instalment of Brahmastra," said Johar. Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt have started preparing for their roles in the film. The movie is expected to begin its first schedule soon.

The first part of the series will hit screens in August 2019.
