Announced in 2015, the much-delayed film ‘Band Of Maharajas’ is still waiting for its turn to go on floors. Starring Chitrangda Singh in the lead role, the project was about to be helmed by Girish Malik. However, it could never take off and is lying in the dust due to one reason or the other. But if one of our close sources is to be believed, the movie might start rolling in next couple of months.
Girish Malik & Chitrangda SinghAccording to our source, Band Of Maharajas will mount floors once director Girish Malik completes shooting for his current film Torbaaz. Starring superstar Sanjay Dutt and Nargis Fakhri in lead roles, Torbaaz is currently being shot in Afghanistan.
Band Of Maharajas will be produced by Ponty Chadha's Wave Cinemas. Like Torbaaz, Girish’s next film will also be shot in Afghanistan and Kirgizstan. Chitrangda Singh will be seen in the character of a singer-musician called Billo Mumtaz in the movie. Besides her, the movie also stars Navraj Hans, the son of popular Punjabi singer Hans Raj Hans.
