Along with commoners, Bollywood celebrities also suffered the Mumbai rains wrath yesterday. Thousands of people were stuck yesterday amidst traffic, clotted water, and immovable trains! Mumbaikars are known for their ever helpful spirit and help was made available instantly by several kind souls. Despite the unfavorable situation, commoners helped each other and many opened their doors and hearts to extend help. Among this chaos, our Bollywood stars who were out for work also witnessed the situation first hand let along the images and videos on the web.
Sonam Kapoor, Neil Nitin Mukesh, R. MadhavanActress Sonam Kapoor updated on her Instagram stories that she was stuck midst traffic and rains for about an hour before she reached home safely. She even shared a short video of the heavy rains from her car. Another actor who suffered badly was Neil Nitin Mukesh, unfortunately he had to get stuck in traffic for more than four hours. He explained his situation with a series of tweets. He wrote:
“Driving in the sea #mumbairains2017”
Neil added, “I have no choice but to spend the night in my Andheri home, alone, my family continues to celebrate Ganesh utsav in town GANPATI BAPPA MORYA”
He further updated, “So, unfortunately, I had to head back towards my town home. And yes stuck in this terrible traffic. It's been 4 hrs and counting.”
Actor R. Madhavan’s car broke down due to excess water. He posted a video on Instagram, He wrote: “My silly car down.. had to bail and wade home in thigh deep water.. excitement and frustration... ”
Anupam Kher, Mahesh Bhatt, Huma QureshiActor Anupam Kher also was stuck in water and had been rescued by his friend. He tweeted about the incident and also praised the city for being so helpful at this time of need. He said no other country in the world is as Mumbai when it comes to human bonding and we cannot agree more! Check out Anupam Kher’s tweet, he wrote:

Actress Huma Qureshi was also stuck in traffic while the sky in Mumbai was pouring badly. But, the actress looked at the positive side of things, she wrote on Twitter: “Was stuck for 3 hours on the highway ..saw so many people help each other out !! that's my #Mumbai hope everyone is safe .. now I'm off.”
