    Big B Honoured with a Doctorate by 'The Egypt Academy of Arts'

    Amitabh Bachchan becomes the first Indian International star to be honored with a doctorate by The Egypt Academy of Arts.

    It was recently reported by us that Bollywood megastar Amitabh Bachchan took a short trip to Egypt as he was invited to inaugurate the third edition of 'India by the Nile' cultural festival. The latest update on the news is that Big B was honoured with a doctorate by The Egypt Academy of Arts. This made him the first International star to be honoured with the doctorate. Mr. Bachchan was indeed humbled and pleased by this gesture by the organizers.

    The veteran actor took to twitter to share his joy with everyone. Big B wrote: "Prestigious Academy of Art in Cairo, decorates me a Hon Doctorate .. humbled and honoured. First for India!!" The festival was organized by the Embassy of India in Cairo in cooperation with the Ministry of Culture, Ministry of Tourism and Cairo Opera House.
