Bhavna Talwar expressed her views regarding the biopic on Guru Dutt saying that the film will look at Guru Dutt from her own vision and a lot of music will be there, though only the needed one.

Bhavna Talwar can now use all the popular songs from Guru Dutt 's movies, as she acquired its exclusive rights. As per the reports, Bhavna attained rights from the very famous and the oldest music company of India - Saregama/HMV. The company owns the copyrights of all the songs of Guru Dutt .

Various eminent music personalities like Mohammed Rafi , Sahir Ludhianvi , S. D. Burman and Geeta Dutt were vital elements of Guru Dutt 's cinema. Therefore, some eternal music tracks, such as 'Waqt ne kiya kya haseen situm', 'Jaane kya tune kahi', 'Dekhi zamanein ki yaari' and 'Yeh duniya agar mil bhi jaye to kya hai' would now glitter as a part of biopic.
