2017 saw some small budget movies shine at the box office. Ayushman Khurrana is one such actor, who’s riding high with his back to back hits which were made on a small budget. With the excellent response of ‘ Bareilly Ki Barfi ’, the 33-year-old actor is all set to reunite with its team. Ayushman is coming up with the team of ‘ Bareilly Ki Barfi ’ for yet another comedy-drama, titled ‘ Badhaai Ho ’. Confirming the news, the actor told to a leading daily, “I had a fantastic experience collaborating with Junglee Pictures for Bareilly Ki Barfi and working with them on Badhaai Ho is going to be exciting. The story that Amit tells is typically Indian with dollops of quirky humour. I look forward to a family film that is innovative and entertaining.”

Amit Sharma , who helmed the 2015 film ‘ Tevar ’, will be directing ‘ Badhaai Ho ’. Not revealing much about the film, Amit said, “It’s very real and easy to relate to. What is funny for others is a matter of concern for the family. I hope one day soon people will tell me ‘Badhaai Ho’ too, after watching the film.”

The BKB co-producer, Priti, confirmed the news saying, “Our release for this year, Bareilly Ki Barfi, received much love from the audience. It has been fantastic working with Ayushman and we are now looking forward to collaborate with him again on Badhaai Ho. Amit is an exceptional director as is evident from his body of work. We couldn’t have asked for a better team coming together to tell this story.”

On the work front, other than ‘ Badhaai Ho ’, Ayushman will be next seen in ‘ Shoot the Piano Player ’ by Sriram Raghavan and the actor also has an untitled project coming up opposite Sanya Malhotra .
