    'Ardh Satya' (अर्ध सत्य) Sequel to Be Made by Govind Nihalani

    Critically acclaimed cop drama Ardh Satya (अर्ध सत्य) which released in 1983 is in news once again because its director is planning its sequel.

    Critically acclaimed cop drama Ardh Satya which released in 1983 is in news once again because its director is planning its sequel.

    In Ardh Satya Om Puri was in the lead role who had played a policeman and was seen struggling with the evils around him and his own frailties. It was written by Vijay Tendulkar and also starred Naseeruddin Shah , Sadashiv Amrapurkar , Smita Patil etc.

    Govind Nihalani has confirmed the news and as said that the sequel will start off with Welankar coming out of prison as an old man after serving his sentence. It is believed that apart from Om Puri , Shabana Azmi would be part of this film.
