Apoorva Lakhia is all famous for his forte in action and so, are his flicks that hold an upper hand in the business for this. The outset for the director was not so astonishing with flicks such as ' Mumbai se aaya mera dost ' and ' Ek Ajnabee ', but later got the hold with his next release ' Shootout At Lokhandwala '.

However, the director is now receiving invites from south to cater in their regional cinema. Reportedly, the director confirmed the news and further stated that he has received a good offer to direct a Telugu movie, however he already has two action ventures blocked in his pipeline prior to this offering, which he can't discuss right now.

Lakhia is currently working on the film ' Zanjeer ' starring Priyanka Chopra and Telugu star Ram Charan Teja . The flick is a remake of the 1973 release titled the same. Simultaneously, looking at the huge fan base of the lead actor down south, the flick will also be released in Tamil version, merely with another title 'Toofan' to entertain the southern masses.
