After doing some out-and-out comedies, next year Varun Dhawan will be seen in a slightly different avatar. Post Shoojit Sircar ’s ‘ October ’, Varun will grace the silver screen with ‘ Sui Dhaaga – Made In India ’ opposite ‘ Anushka Sharma . The film is directed by Sharat Katariya of ‘ Dum Laga Ke Haisha ’ fame under the banner of Yash Raj Films. Though the forthcoming film is also a rom-com drama, this will be different from all the previous films of Varun. As the title itself suggests ‘Sui’ and ‘Dhaaga’, Varun will be seen playing the role of a tailor in the film. There were reports that the actor will be playing a labourer, but he posted his picture on Instagram which made things clear. Varun captioned the picture stating, "???-??? ?? ??? ????, ???-???? ?? ??? ????! #SuiDhaaga @SuiDhaagaFilm @yrf 2018 Gandhi Jayanti"

Varun will be seen for the first time opposite the newly-wed, Anushka Sharma . And once, when Varun was asked about the shooting schedule of the film, the actor confirmed that the movie will go on floors from February 2018. The film is reportedly based on the concept of Made In India, and Varun himself believes in the ideology which has been popularized in our country by the likes of great leaders such as Mahatma Gandhi and Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

‘ Sui Dhaaga - Made in India ’ is slated to release on September 28, 2018, during Gandhi Jayanti weekend, next year.
