Superstar Anushka Sharma is one of the few actresses of India who never hesitates to try something new. In such a short period, she has opened her own production company and has made a couple of successful films under it. Her latest film Pari , which got a great critical response in India, is now all set to release in Russia. You read it all right! With Pari , Anushka became the first Indian actress to have a women-centric film getting released in a non-traditional market like Russia. Directed by Prosit Roy , the film was released early this month in India and now it will hit the big screen in Russia on 19th April 2018.

“Anushka has achieved immense popularity and superstardom through her work. She is a brand magnet, a huge social media influencer and commands global popularity. Now, she is opening an international market on her own! Pari, produced by her company Clean Slate Films, will release in Russia on April 19, this year. This is huge as no other actress has been able to open a film on her own in a non-traditional market like Russia. Raj Kapoor had an iconic status in Russia. Since then no other actor has had superstardom in this country. It would be great if a woman, especially Anushka, make in-roads into this territory,” says an industry source.

After Salman Khan ’s Tiger Zinda Hai , Pari becomes the second Indian film of 2018 to get released in Russia.
