Anupam Kher is truly one of the most successful global actors that India has ever produced. Having acted in more than 500 films, the 63-years-old actor is giving memorable performances since decades and now, he is finally getting his dues paid. This year, he appeared in British based BBC TV movie, The Boy With The Topknot, and bagged his first ever BAFTA nomination in the supporting actor category. Mr. Kher took to Twitter to share the big news and thanked Bafta, his tweet read, “Thank you @BAFTA for the nomination. I feel honored and humbled. #TheBoyWithTheTopKnot”

Anupam Kher stars as the father, British actor Sacha Dhawan - you might recognize him from the TV comedy Outsourced - plays Sathnam.
The BAFTA Television Awards will be held on May 13.
