There are countless stories of how actors prepare mentally for a particular role and also more stories of how that method acting gets under the skin and changes how an actor behaves on the set! Thankfully, Anil Kapoor didn’t do anything over-the-top or be the diva on the set! It seems like Anil Kapoor is deeply involved with his character from upcoming musical comedy, Fanney Khan, wherein he is playing the character of a struggling musician and which is more likely to have a mad scientist vibe as the actor felt need to go extra measures to focus on the role!

Apparently, he has adopted a no-phone policy on the set of Fanney Khan and it’s been 20 days since he almost ditched using smartphone! When asked what the reason behind taking such extreme measures was, he replied, "Every character requires the same amount of commitment and that is what I am doing with this one. Not carrying cell phones was a conscious decision so that I don't get distracted for even a second." You never know Anil Kapoor might just give some tips on Nomophobia and help those who are addicted to the smartphone!

Even some on-location sources revealed, "Anil has not been carrying his phone to the sets since he wants to be completely focused on his character. He feels that a good script, a good role and above all, a good team makes all the difference. And he has got that combination in this film." Usually, directors prefer their cast and crew would follow ‘No Phone Policy’ and director Atul Manjrekar must be feeling lucky to have such a dedicated actor on set!

The film Fanney Khan will be the remake of 2000’a Dutch film Everybody's Famous. It is produced by Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra . The film also features Aishwarya Rai and Rajkummar Rao in the lead roles. It is slated to be released on 13th April 2018!
