Amitabh Bachchan narrates the story of Begum Jaan

Amitabh Bachchan has lent his voice to narrate the partition sequence of the film, from where the story of Begum Jaan begins.
Director Srijit Mukherjee confirmed the news stating, Amitabh’s voice has the finest baritone. He needed a voice to set the milieu of Begum Jaan, which is a period film. Bachchan's voice defines history for a lot of generations, his voice has that epicness and an entire generation of cine-goers identify with his voice. It is the ideal way to start telling a story, especially for one that has a history.
Produced by Vishesh Films, Begum Jaan will mark its release on April 14.
