Amitabh Bachchan as brand ambassador of DD Kisan

Doorshan launched a channel that mainly aims at assisting farmers in the issues related to agriculture in an entertaining manner and the channel name is DD Kisan. Unfortunately, this channel is confronting drastic decline in its TRP and that too in a country like India, where agriculture is of utmost importance. India has a huge rural population and agriculture is the livelihood of majority people in the villages.

As a step towards rising TRP of this channel, the megastar Amitabh Bachchan has been roped in as the brand ambassador of DD Kisan, reportedly. Additional Director - General of Prasar Bharati, Ranjan Mukherjee stated that Amitabh Bachchan has a powerful connect with rural part of India and a popular face was needed for the channel, Bachchan fitted the bill.
