Sanjay Leela Bhansali ’s ambitious project Padmavati has faced several delays and obstacles throughout its making. The protests against the film release have taken an ugly turn when the members of Karni Sena threatened to behead Bhansali and to chop off Deepika’s nose for playing the titular character. The makers have decided to postpone the film citing the sensitive conditions. But, since the film will see a global release it is releasing on the same day i.e. December 1 in the UK without any cuts.

Yes, Padmavati has been scheduled to release on December 1 in the UK, confirmed the official website of the BBFC. In the film, Ranveer Singh will essay the character of Alauddin Khilji, while Shahid Kapoor will play Raja Rawal Ratan Singh of Mewar. Deepika Padukone plays the title role of and Rani Padmini of Chittorgarh in this historical drama. Aditi Rao Hydari plays Khilji's favourite wife in the movie. All the lead stars have shown immense patience, strength, and support to Bhansali and the film.

According to reports, the film Padmavati will now release early next year. Let us wait for the official announcement from the makers regarding the new release date.
