    Akshay Kumar to essay hockey player Balbir Singh in Gold!

    Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar will essay the role of real life hockey player in his upcoming film Gold.

    BollywoodMDB earlier reported about Akshay Kumar ’s upcoming sports movie Gold . The latest update regarding the film is that, it is a biopic on the life of hockey player Balbir Singh. The legendary player was born in undivided Pakistan, Indian hockey player Balbir Singh has an indomitable record for most goals scored by an individual in Olympic men’s hockey. Akshay Kumar essays the title role in the film.

    The film is directed by Reema Kagti and, is jointly produced by Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidwani under the banner of Excel Entertainment. Gold has been scheduled to hit the screens on 15th August, 2018.

    The great player, Balbir Singh, currently 92 year old, now resides in Canada with his wife Sushil, his three sons and daughter-in-laws.
