    Akshay Kumar to Act in Remake of South Film 'Thuppakki'

    Speculation is rife that after the success of ‘Rowdy Rathore’, Akshay Kumar is all set to act in another South remake. He will be working in the remake of A R Murugadoss' Tamil film 'Thuppakki'.

    Speculation is rife that after the success of ' Rowdy Rathore ', Akshay Kumar is all set to act in another South remake. He will be working in the remake of A R Murugadoss' Tamil film 'Thuppakki'.

    'Thuppakki', a Tamil action thriller has been written by A R Murugadoss. He is also directing 'Thuppakki' starring Ilaya Thalapathy Vijay, who plays an encounter specialist in the movie. Kajal Aggarwal is the leading lady.

    The original movie is still being shot in parts of Mumbai and Pune and is slated for a mid-August release.

    Although neither Akshay nor A R Murugadoss has confirmed the news, they will be seen in their second Hindi remake, if everything goes well. Prabhu Deva 's ' Rowdy Rathore ' has been Akshay's first remake of a South film whereas Murugadoss' first Bollywood venture was Ghajini with Aamir Khan . So 'Thuppakki' will be their second remake of a South film.

    If reports are to be believed then Akshay's good friend Vipul Shah will produce the movie. The film is expected to go on floors in December. The leading lady is yet to be finalized.
