The filmmaker Vipul Shah and superstar Akshay Kumar worked together for the 2014 release Holiday - A Soldier Is Never Off Duty . The film garnered huge success at the box office. Going by the report, Vipul Shah has commenced his work on the sequel of this flick and it's in scripting phase at present.

Shah said that the makers knew that this film will grow into a franchise. The film will have Akshay Kumar in the lead role and he will be seen in on a different tour of duty, The sequel will be directed by A. R. Murugadoss , who also helmed the original film. Post completing the script, Shah will approach the director, as revealed by him.

Vipul Shah is currently working on the film Namastey England that will start rolling on August and will release in 2017. After completing its work, the seqel to Holiday - A Soldier Is Never Off Duty will go on floors, as per the reports.
