After superstar Akshay Kumar came as a saving grace for the sluggishly running Box Office, with his blockbuster entry Toilet: Ek Prem Katha, Bollywood fans and his own fandom is anxiously waiting to see his next release PadMan. Recently, Khiladi Kumar himself announced 13th April 2018 as the release date of the movie. But now, a certain section of the media has reported that due to a delay in Kumar's another big budget film 2.0, also starring Rajinikanth and Amy Jackson, the makers of PadMan have preponed the release of theri film and now the movie will hit screens on 26th January, 2018 on the day of Indian Republican day! But some well-placed industry sources have confirmed that there has been no change in the release dates of any films. Both films will release on their scheduled dates.

The premise of the film PadMan is quite unconventional as it is a story based on Arunachalam Muruganatham, a man who makes his mission to find affordable and hygienic alternatives for sanitary pads for women in his village and to help and improve sanitation facilities especially for women during menstruation. Considering his recent experiment like spreading awareness about open defecation in India, that also hit wonders at the box office, this experiment also seems likely to hit the chords with the audience! And besides Akshay Kumar, the film is directed by directed by R. Balki and also features Sonam Kapoor and Radhika Apte in leading roles, which makes it worth to book tickets for the show!

Had there been any change in the release date of the Akshay Kumar starrer film PadMan, it would have been put in straight competition with Neeraj Pandey’s Aiyaary which stars Manoj Bajpayee and Sidharth Malhotra. Though even die-heart fans of Akshay Kumar could have been in dilemma, if Akshay-Rajinikanth starrer 2.0, where the former is playing a villainous role, would have released on 25th January with Akshay's PadMan. But thankfully no clash is happening anymore as both the films are releasing on their pre-decided dates.
