Bollywood’s Khiladi Akshay Kumar is known to take up films that are more inclined towards social issues. Once again, Akshay is set to explore the issue of cleanliness and sanitation in the country in his next film Toilet: Ek Prem Katha . Akshay has taken up multiple initiatives regarding building toilets in rural areas among other things in collaboration with the movie.

The actor recently met Prime Minister Narendra Modi regarding his upcoming film. He shared this update on twitter and wrote: “Met PM @narendramodi and got the opportunity to tell him about my upcoming 'Toilet-Ek Prem Katha.' His smile at just the title made my day!”

Let's hope this meeting of Akshay Kumar with the PM will prove to be fruitful to the makers. Directed by Shree Narayan Singh, Toilet: Ek Prem Katha also stars Bhumi Pednekar as the female lead. The film releases on 11 August, 2017. It is set for a box-office clash with Shah Rukh Khan and Anushka Sharma’s next, directed by Imtiaz Ali.
