Akshay Kumar donates Rs. 1 crore to Chennai flood relief work

Multiple stars from Hindi, Tamil, Telugu film industries lent a helping hand to Chennai flood victims and the latest one is Akshay Kumar, who reportedly donated Rs. 1 crore for the relief work. The managing trustee of Bhoomika Trust, the filmmaker Jayendra received Akshay Kumar's cheque.

One of the statements stated "After seeing the shocking visuals of rain affected Chennai, Akshay wanted to help the people and in this regard he called director Priyadarshan, who in turn directed him to contact Suhasini Mani Ratnam," Akshay immediately donated Rs. 1 crore following Suhasini's suggestion to Bhoomika Trust. This trust is preparing and distributing the food to the flood victims since the day of mayhem.
