The worlds of Bollywood and politics have come together for the noble cause of women's safety. The action king Akshay Kumar and Aditya Thackeray have joined hands to launch an initiative Women's Safety Defence Centre. They made an announcement about it on Friday afternoon, reportedly.

By starting this initiative, Akshay and Aditya intends to impart free self-defence coaching to women. As the rape cases and other crimes against women are on a rise in the country, the self-defence for women is of utmost importance. June 29 will see the batches starting at Andheri Sports Complex and Akshay Kumar will be visiting faculty once in a while. The batches will be held twice a week. The techniques of self-defence are framed by taking into account the daily outfits women wear in today's busy lives. No particular uniform or outfits is needed for this training, as per the report.
