The duo of Ajay Devgn and Rohit Shetty is one of the most successful actor-director duos of Bollywood. Rohit and Ajay have together given more than 7 superhit films and their last venture, ‘ Golmaal Again ’, became a blockbuster. Ajay is definitely a lucky mascot for Rohit and to have his charm again, the director now wants Ajay to be part of his upcoming film ‘ Simmba ’. We know that ‘ Simmba ’, which is a remake of the South film, ‘Temper’, is jointly produced by Karan Johar and Rohit and stars Ranveer Singh in the lead role. As Ranveer will be seen as a notorious and corrupt police officer, the makers of ‘ Simmba ’ want Ajay to do an extended cameo of an honest police officer.

A trade source told a leading daily, “Like Temper, Simmba revolves around a corrupt cop (Ranveer in the title role). His attitude does not go well with another fellow cop who is an honest and sincere police officer. The honest cop tries to thwart Simmba’s actions and tries to put him on the straight path. The film is all about how Simmba has a change of heart through the woman he falls in love with and the influence of the honest police officer and gets back reinstated into the service with honour and glory. The director and his creative team are keen to cast Ajay in the honest cop’s role. Though the role is not big, it’s a powerful one and Ajay with his scorching intensity and screen presence can definitely make an impact. Rohit and KJo’s teams in Dharma Productions are tight-lipped about it till everything gets sorted out. If Ajay gives his nod then Rohit wants to make the announcement himself with the star.”

Neither the female lead for the film is decided nor Ajay has confirmed being part of it, what is confirmed that Shetty will bring the film on 28th December 2018.
