It seems stars are not in favour of filmmaker Indra Kumar. His last directorial, Great Grand Masti, turned out to be a massive flop at the box office. He then tried to resurrect another hit franchise of his, Dhamaal, by announcing its third instalment, titled Total Dhamaal. But before the film could go on floors, Sanjay Dutt, one of the main leads of the successful franchise, decided to distance himself from the project citing he does not want to be a part of a project with adult content. Indra Kumar then managed to bring superstar Ajay Devgn onboard to take the franchise forward. But little did he know that he would too bid adieu to the project before the film rolled.
Sanjay Dutt & Ajay DevgnIf reports are to be believed, Ajay Devgn is no more a part of the multi-starrer project. However, no official confirmation has been made in this regards, but insiders say that the rumours are true. After Ajay Devgn’s exit, the film is in trouble once again. As of now, no one knows when the film will mount floors.
Both Dhamaal and Double Dhamaal were big hits at the box office upon their release in 2007 and 2011 respectively. Both instalments starred Sanjay Dutt, Ritesh Deshmukh, Arshad Warsi, Javed Jaffrey and Aashish Chaudhary in lead roles.
