The makers of Padmavati have finally started spilling the beans and revealing insights about the film. After the striking logo and magnificent Queen avatar of actress Deepika Padukone , Sanjay Leela Bhansali gave out the first look of actor Shahid Kapoor . And, needless to say, the actor seems to have nailed the look completely. Shahid Kapoor as Raja Maharawal Ratan Singh of Mehwar is a perfect fit for the role. Shahid Kapoor has been intensely training for his role in the upcoming magnum opus. The actor has not only adapted the mannerisms of a King but also learned several skills such as horse riding, sword fighting, and other battlefield skills to perform the character authentically. He has also worked hard to acquire the body type to suit the role. Also, this bearded look with a mustache looks chic! His royal avatar is a complete hit!

Shahid Kapoor will play Raja Rawal Ratan Singh of Mewar while Ranveer Singh will essay the character of Alauddin Khilji. Deepika Padukone plays the title role of and Rani Padmini of Chittorgarh in this historical drama. Aditi Rao Hydari plays Khilji's favourite wife in the movie. Bhansali’s film is set to release on December 1, 2017.
