There is going to be a torrential rain of sequels in Bollywood in 2018. And Karan Johar 's Student Of The Year 2 will be part of it. The film, which is a sequel to Student Of The Year , has been in the news ever since it was announced in 2017. While Tiger Shroff has been roped in to play the male lead in the sequel, buzz has it that Chunky Pandey 's daughter Ananya Pandey and actress Tara Sultania will be the female leads of SOTY 2. The latest update on the casting of the film is that model-turned-actor Aditya Seal has reportedly joined the cast to play parallel lead. Seal made his debut in Manisha Koirala starrer Ek Choti Si Love Story and was last seen in Anubhav Sinha 's Tum Bin 2 .

Earlier, there were reports that TV actors Karan Tacker and Priyank Sharma were being considered for the same role. However, it finally went to Aditya. An official confirmation is awaited from Dharma Productions.

While Student Of The Year was helmed by Karan Johar , the directorial baton has been passed on to Punit Malhotra to direct the second instalment. The film is expected to go on floors soon.
