A few days ago, director and producer Karan Johar announced his upcoming film, Kalank , which is going to be one of the biggest movies of next year. The film was planned 15 years ago and it is Karan’s ambitious project. The movie features an ensemble star cast of Madhuri Dixit , Sanjay Dutt , Varun Dhawan , Alia Bhatt , Aditya Roy Kapur and Sonakshi Sinha .

Kalank has already gone on floors and we have got some hot news related to it. According to insiders, the epic period drama will have an item number which will be performed by newbie, Kiara Advani . A source told a leading publication, “Kiara is doing an item number in Kalank. She will be seen with Varun Dhawan in the song. They have started the shoot of the film with this song.”

The film is said to be set during the times of 1940’s and earlier, it was to be helmed by Karan’s late father, Mr Yash Johar .

Jointly produced by Sajid Nadiadwala and Karan’s Dharma Productions, the film is now being directed by Abhishek Varman of the 2 States fame and will hit the theatres on 19th April 2019.
