In past, actor Vivek Oberoi has always spoken very strongly against smoking and other tobacco products. A few years back, he had also appeared in an anti-smoking advertisement and promoted the anti-smoking campaign. He is also the ambassador for the World Health Organisation (WHO) anti-smoking movement.

It appears as if after Anti-Smoking, the actor would be urging people to stay away from gutkha as well! According to the sources, after inflicting the government ban on the sale of gutkha in Maharashtra State, FDA (Food and Drug Administration) is keen on roping in Vivek Oberoi as the brand ambassador for their anti-gutkha campaign.

If sources are to be believed, the FDA department had short-listed many actors but preferred to rope in Vivek due to his previous campaign against smoking.
