As we thought that everything is in place and the long-delayed film Manmarziyan would finally mount floors, there is another update on the project. The latest twist is that the makers have approached Abhishek Bachchan for the film. Wait. If you thought that Junior Bachchan is going to replace Vicky Kaushal , who is playing the main lead in the movie, then that is not the case. Vicky will still remain the main lead of the film. Looks like Abhishek Bachchan has been approached to play the character which was offered to Malayalam actor Dulqer Salmaan .

Manmarziyan tops the list of films which have seen the maximum reshuffles in their cast and crew members. When the film was announced in 2015, it had Ayushmann Khurrana and Bhumi Pednekar playing lead roles and Sameer Arya was the helmer. However, the film was later reportedly taken over by Ahswiny Iyer Tiwari , but she bowed out to direct Bareilly Ki Barfi . After Ahswiny Iyer Tiwari , Anurag Kashyap took over the charge and Vicky Kaushal and Taapsee Pannu were roped in to play the leads. And now, reports are Abhishek Bachchan being approached for the film have made it clear that the film will take some more time in mounting floors.
