    Abhishek Bachchan-Aishwarya Rai in 'Masoom' remake?

    Star couple Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai is likely to star in the remake of earlier blockbuster \'Masoom\'. Himesh Reshammiya had bought remake rights of the film.

    The directorial venture of Shekhar Kapur ' Masoom ' in the year 1982 achieved success due to a heart-touching topic handled beautifully in the film. Considering the latest reports, the news of remake of this classic film are swirling around with featuring Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai in the lead roles. Both the actors have been approached by the filmmakers for essaying the prime roles.

    As per the news update, B-Town singer Himesh Reshammiya had purchased the remake rights of ' Masoom '. Bedabrata Pain , who earlier directed hit film ' Chittagong '.

    The predecessor ' Masoom ' starred Naseeruddin Shah and Shabana Azmi in lead roles. If the plan goes fine, then Abhishek and Aishwarya will be seen reprising the roles of Naseeruddin and Shabana respectively in its remake version. Bollywood actress Urmila Matondkar and actor Jugal Hansraj featured as child artists.
