Abhay Deol reveals what’s road blocking the sequel of Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara!

In 2011, Zoya Akhtar helmed her second film, Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara, and it turned out to be an absolute gem. The film featured an ensemble star cast of Farhan Akhtar, Hrithik Roshan, Abhay Deol, Katrina Kaif, Kalki Koechlin and Naseeruddin Shah and they gave one of the finest movies of this decade. The movie was loved so much by the masses that a sequel to it is in constant demand but even after 7 years that couldn’t have been possible. Want to know what’s road blocking it? Well, the actors are ready for a sequel but unless and until Zoya gives her nod, there will be no ZNMD 2.

Actor Abhay Deol, who had a pivotal role in the film, says the prime actors are ready for a sequel but Zoya is too busy with her other commitments. At an event, the actor said, “Talks have been there since the last film released (in 2011). I hope that Zoya will make a sequel of it. Hrithik tells her that, Farhan is also happy about it and even I tell her that, but Zoya obviously has to get free and have a story that she wants to tell. From our side, you can be sure, we all are ready to do the film, but now Zoya has to say that ‘Yes, I have the mood to write something for it’”.

Abhay, who is choosy about his films, will next be seen in a horror-comedy, Nanu Ki Jaanu, and he will also be seen in Yamla Pagla Deewana: Phir Se.
