Director Shakun Batra , who impressed all with his film Kapoor & Sons , is now planning to bring a web series based on the controversial Indian guru, Bhagwan Rajneesh aka Osho. It is reported that Batra will make a web series on an international platform. The report further suggests that Aamir Khan is keen to be a part of the project.

A source told the daily, "Everyone knows what a great sense of script Aamir has. When he got to know about this one, it immediately piqued his interest. In fact, he is said to have visited Los Angeles, USA, to meet the officials of the streaming channel. This is definitely an important development."

"This project may happen before Mahabharat," added the source. Giving more insights about the projects, the source revealed that Alia Bhatt might be on board for the projects considering the bond she has with Shakun post Kapoor & Sons. "She, too, has loved it. It’s not known whether she will be a part of the project, but she believes it’s a great script," said the source.

For the uninitiated, Bhagwan Shree Rajneesh, or Osho as he later called himself, was a cult figure surrounded by dramatic events, controversies, deportation by the department of justice in the United States, and tax evasion. His move with his commune to a sprawling ranch in Oregon lead to serious opposition from local communities. This later escalated into the conspiracy, attempts of poisoning the public and maintaining a private army, while Osho ostensibly maintained a vow of silence.

Though the news has been reported by insiders, neither Batra nor Aamir has given any confirmation on this.
