The veteran music composer A. R. Rahman has been ruling the field of music for over two decades and has conquered the hearts of loads of music buffs. And now, the musical czar is ready to add one more feather in his hat. A. R. Rahman is going to receive an honorary doctorate from the esteemed Berklee College of Music, reportedly. Rahman is known for making the original compositions in the films like 'Million Dollar Arm', '127 Hours', ' Slumdog Millionaire ' and 'Elizabeth: The Golden Age'.

Rahman's kitty is already full of many awards like Golden Globe Award, Grammy Awards and a BAFTA. The music composer will be awarded with doctorate for his valuable contribution in the field of music on October 24, 2014. For honoring music legacy of Rahman, the Berklee students and faculties will be present at the venue. There will be classic soundtracks and film scores to pay the tribute to the composer as well as there will be different compositions for the 2012 Olympic Games and collaborations with Michael Bolton, Mick Jagger, Will.i.am and Andrew Llyod Webber. Recently, A. R. Rahman was tagged as "the world's most prolific and popular composer" by the Times Magazine.
