The 19-years-old actor Riddhi Sen , who just won a National Award for the best actor for a Bengali film, Nagarkirtan, is not new to the world of cinema. Though he is so young, he has worked in a number of Hindi, Bengali and an English film. And now, he will soon be seen as Kajol ’s onscreen son in her upcoming film, Eela . Director Pradeep Sarkar roped in Riddhi just by looking at his craft and his past performances. “I thought he’d take my audition but one fine day, dada (Sarkar) called me to Mumbai and directly started discussing the script with Kajol ma’am and me,” says the actor.

Giving brief information about the film, Riddhi said to a leading daily, “It is a beautiful story of an aspiring singer who is also a single mother. The mother and son share a wonderful chemistry in the film.”

Eela is produced by Ajay Devgn but Riddhi has already worked with Ajay in the 2016’s film Parched and looking at his impeccable acting skills, her co-star Kajol says, “He doesn’t need any acting tips and has a tremendous future ahead of him as the National Award has proved already.”

Riddhi has nothing to prove, he has already worked in some marvellous movies like Kahaani , Children Of War , Chauranga , Parched , Lion and Nagarkirtan, so wish him luck for all his upcoming projects.
