The blockbuster film \'3 Idiots\' was loved by one and all across the nation and the movie grabbed praises from the overseas audience. This comic caper with a strong message now has one more feather in its hat, as it has been reportedly nominated in the Best Outstanding Foreign Language Film category at the 37th Japan Academy Awards.
This directorial venture by Rajkumar Hirani was released on December 23, 2009 and it also featured Kareena Kapoor, R. Madhavan and Sharman Joshi. The movie aptly spotlighted the Indian education system and showed a new dimension for it. It was released in Japan in June 2013. The annual award ceremony, Japan Academy Awards, had been established by the Nippon Academy Award Association in the year 1978.
The event will take place at the Grand Prince Hotel New Takanawa in Tokyo on March 7.
