VICKY DONOR is a Hindi feature film which released on 20th April, 2012. This film has its great importance for John Abraham because with this film he turns a producer too (He is already an actor). So people are curious to know what kind of film John has made which had created attraction for the trade analysts and movie goers. So does John become successful as a producer too? Read ahead for the review of the film VICKY DONOR.

Story : As the title suggests, VICKY DONOR is a film about donating something which is not in cash or kind but in the form of sperm. In this film the central character VICKY (Ayushmaan Khurrana) is a sperm DONOR that's why the film is titled as VICKY DONOR. In this age, many couples suffer from infertility problem. Due to scientific ways, infertile couple can be blessed with child by the use of other's sperm.

In Mumbai many students of medical and engineering donate sperm regularly and also get some pocket money.

In this film, Dr. Chadda (Anu Kapoor) who runs a clinic which deals with infertility discovers Vicky with healthy sperm. Thus Vicky becomes a Vicky Donor in a funny way.

Acting : This is the debut film of Ayushmaan Khurrana, and he has done a good job as a sperm donor. In fact he has justified his role and impresses you as an actor. But many people have doubt about his being a hero material. So what holds in his future, let future tell. In this film he does a good job. Anu Kapoor is back after a long time and he too has done excellent job. He is back with his funny mannerism and does entertain you with in this film with his superb acting. This film is also the debut film of Yaami Gautam and she too has performed well. Dolly Ahluwalia and Kamlesh Gill too need to be mentioned here for their good performance.

Script : The credit goes to the script writer, especially Juhi Chaturvedi for writing tight screenplay. She has portrayed sperm donation and infertility subject in a well manner with light comedy moments.

Music : Music of the film is average; however a few songs are good such as Rum Whiskey, Pani Da Rang and Mar Jaiyian.

Direction : Director Shoojit Sircar had made his debut film in Bollywodd and has succeeded fairly well in entertaining you. He has justified the characters and distributed fair footage to all his actors. He gets the advantage of good script and screenplay scripted by Juhi Chaturvedi.

Plus Points : A Different Subject; Good Screenplay; Low Budget

Minus Points : Small Star Cast; Average Music;

Conclusion : VICKY DONOR has different subject and it is fresh hence many people would like to watch it. Also it is a light comedy film which keeps you hooked and entertained. But since it has a small star cast, it is difficult to say whether it will be able to attract mass audience or not because it was not well promoted as well. Whereas John Abraham should have promoted it well as his first film as a producer.

Verdict : A film with fresh subject. A light entertainer! You can go for it!
