MY FRIEND PINTO is a Hindi feature film which released on 14th September, 2011. This film falls in the genre of comedy and has been produced under the banner of UTV Motion Pictures and SLB Films and jointly produced by Sanjay Leela Bhansali.

Story : Michael Pinto is a simple guy who is innocent. When his mother dies, he becomes sad and he lands up in Mumbai to find out his lost friend Sameer so that he could recover from his sorrow.

But in Mumbai many interesting things take place and he coincidently goes on saving lives of many including a Don and a puppy.

What happens to this guy and what are the funny situations that arise due to this innocent man's visit is what the film portrays in funny manner.

Performance : Prateik Babbar has played the role of Pinto. In one way he is the solo hero of this film but he could not do comedy so well. He has a lot of potential and today's youth like him. He seems better in serious roles. However, despite being a serious actor, he has tried his level best to do comic role of Pinto.

Markend Deshpade is good in his role as ever. Kalki is different in this film and has done well.

Script : The plot is good but due to many sub plots in it, the film becomes complicated.

Direction : This is the debut film of the director Raaghav Dhar. He has tried to make your bones tickle but due to complicated storyline and too many sub plots in it, he fails to do so to some extent. He seemed to be confused somewhere.

Conclusion : This is neither a boring film nor a film full of vulgarity. It is a light fun film which may not make you laugh to great extent but which may make you smile on a few occasions. Due to the film MUJHSE FRAANDSHIP KAROGE, which releases on the same date, this film may not attract too many viewers; otherwise it would have attracted at least average viewers.

Verdict : Not a bad film! A light film of fun! No problem in watching it!
