JEENA HAI TOH THOK DAAL is a Hindi feature film which released on 14th September, 2012. It has been directed by Manish Vatsalya and produced by Aparna Hoshing under the banner of Rash Productions. Its genre is crime-thriller, but does it fit into this genre and keep you hooked? Read the review to know its answer.

Story : Chandrabhan (Ravi Kissen) is a small town gangster in Bihar who wants to make some big in crime world. He is always accompanied by his other friends such as Atka (Manish Vatsalya), Mehka (Yashpal Sharma) and Bitwa (Rahul Kumar). A corrupt policeman (Murli Sharma) ropes them to assassinate Shrishti (Hazel) who is the daughter of Pawar (Govind Namdeo). This makes these four goons travel to Mumbai to execute the contract given to them.

To execute their plan, they start living in the house of their target in form of her servants. But Chandrabhan falls in love with the girl and doesn't want to kill her whereas his friends especially Atka pesters him to kill her. This gives rise to misunderstanding and rift between them and they quarrel among themselves.

Would Chandrabhan allow others to kill his love? Would his friends go against him? These are some queries answered in the remaining part of the story.

Performance : Ravi Kissen fits into his character and has done well; better than his previous films. He also has got enough footage to show his acting skills. Manish Vatsalya has also done good job as an actor. Yashpal Sharma leaves an impact through his comical gestures by creating laughter. Rahul Kumar has some potential to do something worth. Hazel is so and so. Murli Sharma has done excellent job as a corrupt policeman.

Script : The plot seems to be okay at first sight but when you see its screenplay and dialogues it seems to be wasted. There are many flaws and loopholes in the screenplay. There are some humorous scenes created but some are forced and some are of cheap quality. Only a few comical scenes are good.

Music : Background music is okay but songs composed by music director Shadaab - Abhik and Siddhant Madhav are not up to the mark.

Technical Department : Camerawork is not up to the mark; it is sloppy. Editing could have been better.

Conclusion : Some filmmakers make films to kill your time and money and it could be an example of that. Though its plot sounds interesting, it is neither written in a well manner not executed properly and thus you get bored and irritated when you feel that your money has been wasted. The director also claimed earlier that he has made it on real incident but it doesn't leave any impact.

Plus Points : Funny in parts; Good Plot

Minus Points : Weak Screenplay; Poor Music; Poor Execution; No Big Star Cast

Box Office Predictions : It may get some audience in single theatres but would not do good business in multiplexes. It would be difficult for it to recover its making cost also. However, due to some adult content, it may do some business in some states.

Verdict : Not a bad film! But not a good film either! It would waste your time and money!
