Rating: 2/5

One Line Review: It's a one-time watch gangster romantic comedy, but isn't too much of an enjoyable stuff.

Positive Points: fine music; good action; impressive antagonist performance.

Negative Points: mediocre direction; ordinary cinematography; average storyline; often repeated poor punch lines

Plot: Abhimanyu a.k.a Jayantabhai (Vivek Oberoi) is a typical Mumbai gangster, who works for a powerful gangster named Altaf. Simran Desai (Neha Sharma) is an ordinary small town girl who works for a telecom company in Mumbai, but loses her job and her company quarters due to the company laying off the workforce. Now she shifts into Jayanta's building with the help of the agent P.K Wagle. As she struggles to get a new job, days pass by and she gets closely acquainted with Jayanta, who calls her with the name bhadotri or tenant. Though she eventually comes to know about who he really is, she isn't scared of him due to his silly antics. On the other hand, Alex Pandiyan (Nasser), a dreaded former cop is released from the Central Jail, who is now a gangster himself, but helped by his fellow cops. When Jayanta goes for a recovery job from a builder, he faces Alex, who badly humiliates him. To avenge the humiliation, he beats some of his men, after which he gets into trouble. On the other side, his helpfulness towards Simran, brings both of them closer. In the parallel to his everyday life, goes on his love story. Now Jayanta is in trouble for messing up with Alex. In addition, he must fully confess his love to the girl next door.

Will Jayanta get rid of the threat from Alex?

Will he be able to get his girl despite of what he really is?

Direction And Other Technical Aspects: The direction of the film is just very average and not so satisfactory. The cinematography too isn't much appealing. Though the action sequences in the film are few, they are realistic and better looking.

Music: The film scores much better when it comes to music. 'Aa Bhi Ja Mere Mehermaan' is awesome with the sensuous picturization of Neha Sharma and sung by Atif Aslam. 'Thoda Thoda' sung by Sachin and Shreya Ghoshal has got a really catchy tune, which you are surely going to like. 'Dil Naa Jane Kyun' is yet another romantic number, sung by Atif Aslam and Anushka Manchanda. Music director Sachin and Jigar has done a really good job. The picturization of all the songs is very excellent.

Performances: The performances aren't too impressive except a few. Vivek Oberoi satisfactorily plays the role of a good hearted gangster. Neha Sharma has performed her role of a simple working girl in a fine manner. The strongly antagonistic role played by Nasser is very impressive. Shishir Sharma's role, though not very significant, but is still very good. On the average, the performances are workable.

Final Verdict: The film is worth a one-time watch and certainly contains a proportion of entertainment. But do not expect a Munna Bhai from it. The overall film is average and doesn't hold much matter.
