ISHAQZAADE is a Hindi feature film which released on 11th May, 2012. This is the debut film of Arjun Kapoor, the son of Mona Kapoor due to which it was in news. Also Parineeta Chopra (sister of Priyanka Chopra) is in this film; hence it was much awaited film. Yash Raj Banner has produced this film and it falls in the genre of love & romance. But does this film live up to expectations? Read ahead the review.

Story : This film is the love story of Zoya (Pareeniti Chopra) and Parma ( Arjun Kapoor); this film is also the story of political war between two families and these two families are none other than the families of Zoya and Parma.

On one hand Parma is of one political party whereas on the other hand Zoya is of another political party. Both are against each other; both speak against each other and promote their parties. In due course they fall in love. Thereafter, there families become their biggest enemies.

What happens later is what makes the rest of the film. Do Zoya and Parma meet at the end? Does the enmity between the two families end? All such queries are answered in the remaining part of the film.

Acting : Arjun Kapoor is average and he needs to sharpen his acting skills if he has to survive in the Hindi film industry. Many people felt that he resembles Abhishek Bachchan but it is not so. Just from one angle or a part of his face may remind you of Abhishek Bachchan, but he doesn't really look like him completely. He is not a copy of Abhishek Bachchan. Pareenita Chopra has acted well but may be because of her powerful role she could do it so well. How good she is in acting will be proved later on when she would get some challenging roles.

Script : Story is unconvincing and not to be digested by the Indian audience. There are many loopholes in the screenplay and dialogues are too loud at some places which try to justify its characters unnecessarily in an unconvincing manner.

Music : Not up to the mark! A love story film needs good music compulsorily.

Direction : The successful director of DO DOONI CHAAR is not successful in directing this film which and may not live up to the expectations of the audience. The direction has gone beyond limit in filming some of his characters and sequences which were not necessary. He has exaggerated many things which were not required.

Plus Point : New Comers such as Arjun Kapoor & Pareenita Chopra

Minus Points : Music; Script

Conclusion : Due to the curiosity to watch Arjun Kapoor and Pareenita Chopra, this film will attract some audiences. Also this film is made and released under the banner of Yash Raj who promote their films so well that success becomes surety. Hence this film can do average business. Also no other film is its competitor, hence it can attract some audience till DEPARTMENT of Ram Gopal Varma & Amitabh Bachchan is released next week.

Verdict : Not a good love story! Not Entertaining! You can watch it for Arjun Kapoor and Pareenta Chopra or wait for satellite release.
