One Line review: Dee waste of time!
Positive Points: Performance from the next big thing, Prashant Narayan portraying a don.
Negative Points: Tacky item numbers along with needless steamy scenes with a wholesome of skin show.
Plot: Mumbai, the City of Dreams! Many people land up in this paradise to turn their dreams into reality and so does landed Shivani (Mahi Khanduri), a small town girl from Meerut. Living with her relatives and working at a corporate place, Shivani slowly yet steadily gets adapted to the city's happening life. From clubs to parties to social networking, the small town beauty easily gets dissolved into all. On the other hand, the city is dealing with its own mess, loots, rapes, molestation has become a day-to-day activity. To get this mess clear the department gets its best man at work, one of the top cop, Mr. Dhoble (Arif Zakaria). As soon as the man takes his charge he makes sure to grab the weak nerve into control, which is the city's night life. From raiding parties to bursting public places with his hockey stick, Dhoble now is a terror to the party animals.
Here Shivani leaving her dream, gets involved with a guy named Ashutosh (Gaurav Dixit) whom she recently met on social networking site and soon gets into a relationship with him. The boy has his own dreams to make it large, as like Shivani. Planning their future together, the couple comes across a great opportunity where Ashutosh receives a project from Shivani's company. But as all good things come with a price tag, this dream of the lovebirds also had one, falling Shivani to compromise her modesty for grabbing the project for her man Ashutosh. Settling all dues the couple shifts the gear on top to zip around name, fame and money but, hereto comes a barrier when Ashutosh's dark secret, his wife comes into picture.
Getting all divest on professional and personal front Shivani reaches her low and looses herself to alcohol. Losing her senses, the girl tragically gets trapped into hands of a notorious rapist. Gracing the lord, Shivani is eventually barred by another criminal; a Mafia Don Rohit (Prashant Narayan). Falling back in love with her savior, Shivani now plans to clean off her slate of betrayal written by Ashutosh.
Direction And Other Technical Aspects: Director Jay Prakash has tried to grab the night life and modernized culture of the evolving city showcasing the drawbacks of changes post getting beyond limits. Though drafting a bold script on his table, the director loosed his grip on executing the seriousness of the subject to tawdry dance numbers and needless bold scenes. The first half of the movie is precipitously dedicated to tacky kissing scenes and needless item numbers, projecting the celluloid to be a sheddy projection.
Whereas, the second half is quite decent where the story takes turn and rolls the pages back to the end. This is when the protagonist Shivani's modesty gets into danger and is thus rescued by the Mafia don Rohit. The story now takes a twist when Shivani agrees to move on with Rohit but wills him to settle her dues pending with her past relation, Ashutosh.
Performance: One of the finest jewels of acting, Prashant Narayan is a treat to our eyes. With his adaptability to mould himself in the shape of the character, he suits his best as a mafia don.
Newbie, Mahi Khanduri had a wide scope to showcase her talent, which she did quite well enough. Talking about other pivotal characters, most of them remain familiar to the masses. Talking about another key element of the film, the character of top cop Mr. Dhoble is well enacted as well as spoken by Arif Zakaria. Others from the list binding actors like Aman Verma, Mushtaq Khan, Vishwajeet Pradhan, Gaurav Dixit and Nazneen Patel have equally done justice to their portrayed characters.
Music: Music Director Ankit Tiwari has tried his best to offer something unique to the masses. Getting biggies like Kailash Kher and Shaan to lend their voices to track list has been his achievement but frankly speaking his tracks has just surpassed the memory as soon as it sequence went off screen. Poorly proving his whole tracklist to be dull.
Final Verdict: A sneak peek to theaters is assumed only if someone literary has a time to pass by. Elsewhere, the film has nothing to offer the masses, hot enough in context of the content apart from low-priced steamy scenes and skin show.
