CHAL PICHCHUR BANATE HAIN is a Hindi feature film that released on September 7, 2012. It is produced Madanlal Jain under the banner of Twilight Entertainment Pvt Ltd. The film marks the debut of writer-director Pritish Chakraborty and the editor Amardeep Singh Khichi. It belongs to the genre of family drama. It stars actors Rahil Tandon and Bhavna Ruparel in the lead roles. Now the question arises – should you watch this movie? To know the answer, you need to read the complete review.
Story : Suraj Kumar (Rahil Tandon) is an MBA but he has always been ambitious to get into the film industry (Bollywood). However, he gets an offer (job) of 5000 pounds in United Kingdom. To do this job he has to go to UK. But he leaves this and moves ahead to make his career in film making. His aim is to become a director/writer and even producer. Since his childhood he has watched numerous movies. But while moving ahead he loses his friends, girlfriend and the trust of his family.
When he gets into Bollywood, he soon realizes that it is not what it appeared to be from outside. It is a glamorous world but here you have to do your work in different way. He encounters different celebrities and gets different and unexpected experiences.
Would he be able to become what he thought to be? Would his ambition get fulfilled?
Performance : Rahil Tandon has some potential and does above average. However, at times he appears to act like amateur. If he gets better roles or better script he can do better! Bhavna Ruparel who is in the lead role is also okay. However, she needs to improve her acting skills to get better roles or to survive in the industry. Punkaj Kalra and Mukesh Bhatt are okay. Rest actors are so and so.
Script : The plot of the film is stale as you have watched so many films on this plot. Recently a film had released titled as PICTURE ABHI BAAKI HAI DOST of Suniel Shetty which had similar storyline. There are many loopholes in the screenplay and it doesn't keep you hooked and you get bored soon. Dialogues are also not powerful.
Music : Music of the film is below average and not worth mentioning.
Direction : Direction is not impressive and the director doesn't keep you hooked. He could have chosen a different subject rather than picking up a subject on film industry which has become repetitive and old idea. A few shots are okay but execution for the remaining part of the film is not impressive. He could not even select good music and thus fails to entertain you in many terms.
Plus Points : Hardly any
Minus Points : Old Storyline; Poor Script; Poor Music; Weak Direction; Low Star cast
Conclusion : People have got bored to see films on film industry because it has come so many times. Also it does not contain big star cast which may attract the mass. So it is not going to survive at the box office and many theatres may remove it before time.
Box Office Predictions : Even though it is a low budget film it will be very difficult to recover its making cost. Forget profit!
Verdict : If you have not watched any film based on film industry and if you have nothing to do than you can go for it otherwise it is better to skip it.
