    Yatra Plot

    Dasrath Joglekar (Nana Patekar), a celebrated writer, travels to Delhi to recieve a prestigious award. Along the journey he meets a young film-maker (Nakul Vaid) who is an ardent fan of Dasrath's writing. The encounter with the aspiring film-maker brings back memories from Dasrath's past. Both of them travel back in time, remembering characters from Dasrath's celebrated novel, Janaza. Both reconstruct the true story of the novel's protagonist - Lajvanti (Rekha) - from their own perspective - the writer's personal experience and the film-maker's vision for a film on it. Thus fact and fiction merge together to create a new journey. After the gala award ceremony in New Delhi, Dasrath begins another journey. The concept of his new novel and the nostalgia of the previous one haunts him. Dasrath disappears from his hotel without informing the organizers. Tension mounts in his family and among other associates.
